Bergen Chinese School 2019 Board Election Notice
尊敬的各位家长，老师和校务人员：
华夏博根中文学校董事会于2019年1月5日举行了本年度第一次全体董事会议。会议期间王朝芳校长向董事会汇报了过去一学期学校各项工作情况。在全体老师和校务人员的共同努力以及广大家长的积极配合下，学校在中文教育，文体活动和对外交流各个方面都取得了可喜的成绩，受到各界包括总校领导在内的一致好评。董事会对本届校委会的工作给予了高度肯定并衷心感谢所有老师，家长和义工们的无私奉献！
董事会也就2019年董事换届选举进行了讨论并决定于4月7日在中文学校进行选举，初步安排如下：
（1） 从即日起开始候选人提名，每名董事可提名一名候选人
（2） 3月3日 － 候选人提名截止
（3） 3月4-9日 － 董事会审核确认每位被提名候选人的参选资格
（4） 3月10日－公布候选人名单
（5） 3月24日－候选人与家长见面会 （自我介绍及回答问题）
（6） 4月7日－正式选举

为保障选举的顺利进行，董事会决定组建由董事会成员和家长义工共同组成的选举委员会并由董事长王建锐亲自负责安排工作，具体细节将在未来的会议中继续讨论并公布。

Dear Parents, Teachers and School Administrative Staff:
The 2019 1st HXBG Board of Directors meeting was held on January 5, 2019. During the meeting Principal Chaofang Wang provided an update on the school work in the past semester. With the effort of all teachers and school administrative staff and the parents’ support, gratifying results have been achieved in Chinese education, cultural/sports activities and external communication, which are well recognized by different parties including the headquarter of Huaxia Chinese School. The Board of Directors highly appreciated all the accomplishments by the current School Administration and sincerely acknowledged the selfless contribution by all the teachers, parents and volunteers!
The 2019 Board of Directors election was also discussed. Following are preliminary information on the election:
(1) Candidate nomination will start from now on, each BD member can nominate one candidate
(2) March 3 – deadline for candidate nomination
(3) March 4-9 – Board of Directors review and confirm eligibility of all nominated candidates
(4) March 10 – communicate to the Membership the nominations for candidates for Directors
(5) March 24 – Meeting between the candidates and the Members (self-introduction and Q&A)
(6) April 7 – Final election meeting

To ensure a smooth election, the Board decided to form an election committee consisting BD members and parent volunteers to be led by President Jianrui Wang. Further details will be discussed in future BD meetings and communicated to the Membership.
