Huaxia Bergen Chinese School Notice (school open 9/13 - Principal speech)
各位老师们，同事们，首先第一句话：希望大家都安好！今天第一次正式见到大家！
2020开年那么不顺，相信对我们每个人都是很颠覆的冲击，从5月份学年结束以来，新的校委会班子每一个人都是有共识的，2020年就是学校建校以来最难的阶段，所以我们从学期结束那一刻起就没松懈，我们从各方面在努力保障学校的品牌，暑期也没闲着，比哪年的暑假都忙，我们没有暑假，只有夏天！
1. 首先六月份，HSK首次网络居家考试推出，学校克服重重困难马璐副校长组织了我们的毕业生参加考试！我们并且派出老师包括副校长孙长慧挂帅，陶丹，李植，程凤艳，还有董事会秘书代课老师王志红，参与了这次考试的监考任务，也都取得了监考证！！我校毕业班的五名参加HSK考试的学生全部顺利通过考试。
2. 七月份，马璐副校长又收集中文AP考试成绩信息，AP班里的8名同学在今年的AP中文考试中也都顺利通过的好成绩。我们祝贺毕业班和AP班的同学们！也感谢张勤老师和所有教过他们的老师以及家长们！
3. 2020年我们学校首次举办暑期班非常成功！我们克服了那么多困难下决心必须要尝试这项活动，结果是效果可佳！可见我们博根的老师非常棒，学校各方面的管理人员能力也是过得硬的，孩子们在暑期班里上中文课巩固和拓展中文知识；学习和提高绘画水平；在网上与老师和朋友们学习和切磋棋艺；利用暑假学习和加强了数学知识的积累。暑期班的孩子们收获满满，家长们非常感谢老师和学校！
4. 另外暑期中总校的网上夏令营我们博根分校也参与其中，这次网上夏令营由于教学方法新颖完成作业形式多样化，孩子们对中文对中华文化的兴趣和潜力一下子被激励被挖掘出来了，还包括了许多家长的参与，效果实在令人惊喜和感动！我们组办和参与夏令营而且还鼓励我们的孩子家长和老师们积极参与，也是希望对我们9月份的网课有所启发，提升网课的教学水平！我们的尝试是值得的！无论2020开年有多么不顺，但2020的夏天我们都收获了！
5.紧接着九月份，我们要迎来新的学年，跟以往不同的是我们正处于一个情况复杂的困难时期，华夏总校把新学年教师培训的重点已经调整到适应运用新的教学手段应对新的形势，正是我们需要的，2020秋季新学年的网课需要比之前的网课有所提高，欣慰的是在老师培训这个板块，我们已经坐上总校教师培训的网课直通车，老师们学习了网络教学手段，网课课堂的设置技巧和管理技巧等等...有助于提高我们学校的网课教学水平！在8月30日周末老师们就已经行动起来了，特别感谢他们用的是自己的休息时间，领到了新学年同学们的新教材。校务长陈国栋老师十多年如一日贡献出自家车库为学校存放新课本，还有老师为了在规定时间来领教材，还带着年幼的孩子赶过来！！我们的老师们先行一步，是给家长们传递信心的，新学年开始，我相信你们会带领孩子们进入新颖的网络课堂，使你们的学生适应多样化的教学方式，继续学习中文继续学习中华文化！摆在我们面前无论有多大的困难，我们全校师生谱写新篇章的新学年即将启动！！
6.作为校长感谢老师们踊跃报名参加各种培训，在董事会面试的时候，我也谈到了23年的学校应该是很成熟的学校了，但也需要继续完善做的更好，我提到专家治校，包括教学 校务 财务，税务等等方面，学校管理要坚持专业化制度化规范化，是现后疫情时代，已是一个重要课题，我们所有人都必须勇敢面对，我们虽然是被网课但这对我们是挑战也是锻炼更是机遇，所以我们不仅看到了困难，我们也要乐观的看到，我们目前的起点已经不是最低的，是有一定高度的，我们一起继续砥砺前行。我希望我们博根的老师一个都不少地坐上教师培训的网课直通车，准备好扬帆起航！
最后，也是最重要的，感谢所有老师和同事们，还包括所有家长对学校工作一直以来的大力支持和鼓励！大家齐心协力共同把我们这个博根郡最大的华人社区继续发展壮大下去！

The beginning of 2020 is so difficult, I believe it will be a very subversive impact on each of us. Since the end of the school year in May, everyone in the new school committee has reached a consensus. 2020 is the most difficult year since the school was founded. Therefore, we have not slackened since the end of the semester. We have worked hard to ensure the brand of the school from all aspects. We have not been idle during the summer vacation. It is busier than any summer vacation. We have no summer vacation, only summer!
1. First of all, in June, the first HSK online home test was launched. The school has overcome many difficulties, and Vice President Ma Lu organized our graduates to take the test! We also sent teachers including Vice-President Sun Changhui, Tao Dan, Li Zhi, Cheng Fengyan, and Wang Zhihong, the substitute teacher of the board secretary, to participate in the proctoring task of this exam, and they all obtained the proctoring certificate! ! All five students in the graduating class of our school who took the HSK test successfully passed the test.
2. In July, Vice President Ma Lu collected information on Chinese AP test scores. The 8 students in the AP class also passed the AP Chinese test this year. We congratulate the graduating class and AP class students! Thanks also to Teacher Zhang Qin and all the teachers and parents who have taught them!
3. In 2020, our school held the first summer school very successfully! We overcame so many difficulties and made up our minds to try this activity, and the result was great! It can be seen that our teachers at Bergen are very good, and the management staff in all aspects of the school are also very capable. Children take Chinese lessons in the summer class to consolidate and expand their Chinese knowledge; learn and improve their drawing skills; online with teachers and friends Learn and play chess; use the summer vacation to learn and strengthen the accumulation of mathematical knowledge. The children in the summer school have gained a lot, and the parents are very grateful to the teachers and the school!
4. In addition, our Bergen campus also participated in the summer school online summer camp. Due to the novel teaching methods and diversified homework forms, the children's interest in Chinese and their potential for Chinese culture were immediately stimulated and tapped. Yes, it also includes the participation of many parents. The effect is really surprising and touching! We organize and participate in summer camps and encourage our children's parents and teachers to actively participate. We also hope to inspire our online classes in September and improve the teaching level of online classes! Our attempt is worth it! No matter how bad the beginning of 2020 is, we have all gained in the summer of 2020!
5. Immediately after September, we are about to usher in a new school year. The difference from the past is that we are in a difficult period with complicated circumstances. Huaxia Headquarters has adjusted the focus of teacher training in the new school year to adapt to the use of new teaching methods. The new situation is exactly what we need. The online courses for the new school year in the fall of 2020 need to be improved compared to the previous online courses. Fortunately, in the teacher training section, we have already taken the online course of the main school teacher training. The teachers have learned online teaching methods, online classroom setting skills and management skills, etc...help to improve the online teaching level of our school! On the weekend of August 30th, the teachers have already started to take action. I am especially grateful to them for using their own rest time to receive new teaching materials from the students in the new school year. The dean of the school, Mr. Chen Guodong, has contributed his own garage to store new textbooks for the school for more than ten years. In order to collect the textbooks at the specified time, the teacher also rushed over with young children! ! Our teachers are one step ahead to convey confidence to parents. At the beginning of the new school year, I believe that you will lead your children into novel online classrooms, so that your students can adapt to diversified teaching methods, continue to learn Chinese, and continue to learn Chinese culture. ! Regardless of the difficulties before us, the new school year in which our teachers and students write a new chapter is about to start! !
6. As the principal, I would like to thank the teachers for enthusiastically signing up for various trainings. During the board interview, I also mentioned that the 23-year school should be a very mature school, but it also needs to continue to improve and do better. I mentioned experts School governance, including teaching, school affairs, financial affairs, taxation, etc., school management must adhere to professionalization, institutionalization and standardization. This is an important issue in the post-epidemic era. All of us must face it bravely. This is a challenge for us, but also an opportunity for exercise. So we not only see the difficulties, but we also have to be optimistic to see that our current starting point is not the lowest, but there is a certain height. Let us continue to move forward together. I hope that many of our teachers from Bogen will take the online course through teacher training and get ready to set sail!
