Dear Parents，

1、2024年04月28日（周日）校历第三十周，华夏博根全体工作人员和老师们在熟悉的校园等着你！

2、❗️❗️📣📣董事会重要通知：
根据"Huaxia Chinese School at Bergen (HXBG) 2024 Board of Director Election Guidelines"，我们的换届选举工作马上就要进入投票阶段。今年的投票是在学校进行in person投票，投票日期: 2024年4月21日9:30am - 1:00pm,4月28日9:30am - 1:00pm 以及5月5日9:30am - 11:45am。投票截止后会于5月5日中午12点在学校Cafeteria进行现场唱票。家长们可以在学校1号门，3号门和 Cafeteria(2号门进入)领取选票并现场填写投票。希望大家本着主人翁的精神，支持学校的工作，积极参与董事选举投票。
今年有3位董事候选人，分别是姜燕女士，王志红女士，和沈澄宇先生。请查阅学校发出的邮件关于董事候选人简历。

3、关注牙齿成长，呵护每颗牙齿。本周日上午10点，我们有幸请到Dr. Yongfeng Wei医生跟大家聊聊儿童牙齿健康，牙病的预防和治疗。欢迎大家前来咨询，机会难得不要错过。好牙好生活，一口好牙，一生相伴。

4、兹定于5月12日举办首届＂博根杯＂识字比赛。该项比赛面向中文课4年级以上在校注册学生，将分为4-6年级和7年级以上两个组别进行，每组参赛名额各为20人，报满为止。学校希望通过这项赛事加强同学们学习中文词汇的兴趣，提高中文阅读、写作以及表达的能力，激发学习热情。

5、华夏杯绘画比赛的画册、奖杯、奖牌和证书，以及艺术节的纪念册都已经准备好，请相关人员周日到cafeteria 领取。

6、2024年华夏中文学校智力运动会将于5月11日，星期六上午11:30到下午5:30在华夏南部分校(Marlboro High School, 95 N Main St, Marlboro, NJ 07746)举行。比赛项目有，围棋，中国象棋，国际象棋，五子棋，数独，桥牌，斗地主，升级。报名费$10/每人。报名截止日期是4/29。欢迎同学，家长涌跃参加。请与刘一帆副校长联系。

Dear Parents,

1. On April 28, 2024 (Sunday), the 30th week of the academic calendar, all the staff and teachers of Huaxia Bergen are waiting for you on the familiar campus!

2. ❗️❗️📣📣Important notice from the Board of Directors:
According to the "Huaxia Chinese School at Bergen (HXBG) 2024 Board of Director Election Guidelines", our general election will soon enter the voting stage. This year’s voting will be conducted in person at the school. The voting dates are: April 21, 2024, 9:30am-1:00pm, April 28, 9:30am-1:00pm, and May 5, 9:30am-11:00. 45am. After the voting closes, a live counting will be held at the school Cafeteria at 12 noon on May 5. Parents can pick up their ballots at the school's Gate 1, Gate 3 and Cafeteria (enter from Gate 2) and fill out their votes on site. I hope that everyone will support the work of the school and actively participate in voting for director elections in a spirit of ownership.
There are three director candidates this year, namely Ms. Jiang Yan, Ms. Wang Zhihong, and Mr. Shen Chengyu. Please check the email sent by the school for director candidate resumes.

3. Pay attention to tooth growth and take care of each tooth. This Sunday at 10 o'clock in the morning, we are fortunate to have Dr. Yongfeng Wei talk to you about children's dental health, prevention and treatment of dental diseases. Everyone is welcome to come for consultation, don’t miss this rare opportunity. Good teeth mean a good life. Good teeth last a lifetime.

4. The first "Bergen Cup" literacy competition is scheduled to be held on May 12. This competition is open to registered students in grade 4 and above of Chinese language courses. It will be divided into two groups: grades 4-6 and grade 7 and above. Each group has a quota of 20 people, and the number of entries is limited to 20 people. The school hopes that through this competition, students will be more interested in learning Chinese vocabulary, improve their Chinese reading, writing and expression abilities, and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning.

5. The albums, trophies, medals and certificates of the Huaxia Cup Painting Competition, as well as the commemorative album of the Art Festival have been prepared. Relevant personnel are requested to collect them at the cafeteria on Sunday.

6. The 2024 Huaxia Chinese School Intellectual Games will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Huaxia Southern Branch (Marlboro High School, 95 N Main St, Marlboro, NJ 07746). The competition events include Go, Chinese chess, international chess, backgammon, Sudoku, bridge, Landlords, and upgrades. Registration fee is $10/person. The registration deadline is 4/29. Students and parents are welcome to attend. Please contact Vice President Liu Yifan.
