‼️⏰ 1. 冬令时调整提醒
本周日（11月1日）起，美国进入冬令时，时钟需拨慢一小时。请大家记得将家中不能自动调整时间的时钟，手动调慢一小时，以免影响上课和出行安排。

华夏博根中文学校信息群用于发布学校通知、活动信息及解答相关咨询，仅对现任董事会及校委会成员、老师、注册学生及家长开放。
请大家按以下格式更新群聊昵称：

＊场地使用： 请勿进入学校未授权区域，严禁在校园内组织非教学活动。
＊纪律与秩序： 请提醒孩子遵守校规、爱护公物，不随意翻动或使用教室内物品。违反规定将视情况进行提醒、联系家长或请家长到校协助处理。
＊安全提醒： 课间请勿前往教学楼二层210、208、206教室附近的隐蔽走廊区域。
＊课堂秩序： 上课期间家长请勿进入教室（值日班爸班妈除外）。
＊交通安全： 校区内车速限10 mph，请减速慢行，注意行人安全。

Dear parents and students,
We have reached the eighth week of the school calendar (November 1). Please see the following school announcements and reminders for this week.
‼️⏰ 1. Daylight Saving Time Reminder
Starting this Sunday, November 1, the U.S. transitions to Standard Time (Daylight Saving Time ends). Clocks should be set back one hour. Please remember to manually adjust any clocks in your home that do not update automatically to avoid any scheduling conflicts for classes or travel.
📱 2. WeChat Group Usage Guidelines
The Huaxia Bergen Chinese School information group is used for posting school announcements, event information, and answering inquiries. It is open exclusively to current Board of Directors and school committee members, teachers, registered students, and parents.
Please update your group nickname using the following format:
♦️ Current Board Member or School Staff: Full Name-Current Title
♦️ Teacher: Full Name-Teacher-Class Taught
♦️ Registered Student (Adult): Full Name-Course Name
♦️ Parent of Registered Student: Student’s Full Name-Class Name
⚠️ Please use your real name. For board members or staff with designated titles on the school website, please include your current position to facilitate communication.
🎨 3. 7th "Huaxia Cup" International Youth and Children's Painting Competition
Theme: The Common Homeland of Humanity Through the Eyes of Youth
📌 Deadline: December 21, 2026
💰 Registration Fee: $30 per person; each student is limited to one entry.
📍 Registration Location: School Committee Desk (to purchase entry ID and password).

🏓 4. Registration for Second Term Table Tennis Classes
Registration is now open for the second term (December 14, 2026 – March 20, 2027). New and returning students are welcome!
Class Times:
Mondays & Thursdays: 4:30–6:00 PM
Saturdays: 6:00–7:30 PM
Tuition:
1 session/week: $420/term
2 sessions/week: $700/term
3 sessions/week: $840/term

‼️ Important Reminders ‼️
* Facility Use: Please do not enter unauthorized areas of the school. Organizing non-instructional activities on campus is strictly prohibited.
* Discipline and Order: Please remind your children to follow school rules, respect school property, and refrain from moving or using items in the classrooms. Violations will result in warnings, parent notification, or a request for parents to come to the school to assist in resolving the issue.
* Safety Alert: During breaks, please stay away from the secluded hallway areas near classrooms 210, 208, and 206 on the second floor of the main building.
* Classroom Etiquette: Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms while class is in session (with the exception of the designated parent volunteers on duty).
* Traffic Safety: The speed limit on campus is 10 mph. Please slow down and watch for pedestrians.
